On the train to Nanu Oya

Passengers riding the Kandy to Nanu Oya line wait to get off the express as it slows down coming into the station.
Something of a relic form the days of the British rule perhaps?
One of the many German-made diesel locomotives working on the Sri Lankan railway system
Sri Lanka is the second biggest exporter of tea, just behind Kenya.
The Nanu Oya train line takes you past acres and acres of tea estates planted for the most part on impossibly steep hillsides.
Nanu Oya station is very busy with tourists disgorging and heading off to Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Hatton and many other places hidden away in the tea estates...
