Sumiyoshi Taisha

I remember coming to this small shrine complex a few years ago - quite by chance this is one of the nicest temples in Osaka - only 4 stops out of Namba station, but it feels like you are in the country, or at least the burbs...

Sumiyoshi Taisha is a compact shrine with brightly coloured wooden halls and a cute curved and steep bridge over which visitors pass. It's both peaceful and delightful. I used a Photoshop plug-in called Moku Hanga to give the images a wood block feel - that's what Moku Hanga means.
