Keeping your photo gear clean

One piece of kit that I have found invaluable while travelling in Kenya and Tanzania is this dry bag from Kathmandu in Sydeny - you can buy similar products from other outdoor type retailers. We got these three bags on 'special' for $20 - the largest takes a Canon EOS 5D MkII with a 100-400mm lens.
Fold the end over a few times and fasten the two clips together (to form a handle) and the bag can float (if it contains air) but more importantly, it's virtually waterproof and dustproof. Excellent protection in the rain forest and while travelling through Serengeti dust...
