Local Workshops

One day Workshops and Photo Walks

I regularly hold single day workshops for those that want to brush up on their techniques or simply want a day out with their camera.Typical destinations might include:
Taronga Zoo (usually a weekday to avoid the crowds)
Easter Show
Vivid (nighttime shooting)
Rozelle Shipyards (HDR)
Darling Harbour
Night Photography and more...

August - Blue Mountains Macro

Macro, extreme close up, birdlife and night time flash photography. Spend two nights in the Blue Mountains learning how to shoot macro subjects, with a table top setup and in our host’s garden. In the evening we learn how to make long exposures combined with flash for a spectacular result. Because this area is well endowed with beautiful native birds, we can also practice getting perfect wildlife snaps from close quarters. A fun weekend.

October - Broken Hill
Travel to outback NSW for this fantastic landscape workshop visiting famous locations like White Cliffs, Menindee Lakes, and Silverton.  Spend three nights (or more) based in Broken Hill experiencing some of the best and most iconic outback experiences: a visit to Bells Milk bar, shooting in and around the historic town centre, sunset from the living desert lookout, railway museum, Pro Hart Gallery, Mad Max museum at Silverton, Mundi-mundi plains, classic landscapes at Kinchega woolshed and National Park and of course, Menindee lakes. It’s a great opportunity to experience the real outback in relative luxury (we usually share rental houses. Car share is also organised where applicable).
